PSP Tips & Tricks
I've picked up a lot of tips from surfing various tutorial and information sites. Also by just doing stuff myself. The tips will very..they may be like a mini-tutorial to just information.
USE COLORIZE TO AGE PICTURES:
Here's a way to make your photos look instantly old without using any external
filters. Open a picture in PSP and make sure that it is at a color depth of
16.7 million colors. (To do this, go to the Colors menu and choose Increase
Color Depth, 16.7 Million Colors. If this option is grayed out, then you're
already there and the image is ready to be enhanced.) Now go to the Colors menu
and choose Colorize. Change the settings to Hue 32 and Saturation 60. At this
point, the effect will already look pretty cool. However, to age the picture
a bit more, choose Image, Noise, Add Noise, and set the Uniform option to 20.
This will give the picture a nice antique look. Here is an example, using another
photo of mine long ago. This was taken at The Forks Market, here in Winnipeg..
It's like a huge flee market. Restuarants, merchants, produce, entertainment....
Sooooo easy to do and a great effect.

CAN WE HAVE TOOOO MANY FONTS?:
The answer to the question is No! But too many fonts installed....you're asking
for problems. You'll be working and suddenly, when you try to put some text
on an image, there will be no available fonts. Or....oops.... PSP just crashed.
What is not so commonly known is that this is a Windows memory issue. Fonts
use a lot of memory...specially the real fancy ones. To remedy this, try using
a font management program. There are several shareware font management programs
available that will actually improve your overall computer performance if you
have lots of fonts.
The idea behind font management is that you
put your fonts into groups and have open only the group that you need. Also,
with a font manager, Windows does not have to load all 500 (or more, for some
of you font fiends!) of your fonts when you start up your computer. I have all
default fonts installed and two or three extra that I use all the time. Where's
the rest ? I've a folder called MyFonts that has two subfolders - unzipped fonts
- zipped fonts I use The
Font Thing When I want to use or view fonts not installed.... I open this
up... view...install and then unistall when I'm done with the font. Piece of
cake! This is just one of many options. Look for font managers at either of
