a New Transparent Image: 400x300 Foreground Blue - White (will alternate these)
Background Pink - #FFB9DC
Step
1:
Add
Raster Layer - Fill With White
Preset Shapes - Star Create as Vector
Forground - White Background Blue - #6E8FCB
Draw
a Star on your canvas - Convert to Raster Layer Effects - Eye Candy 4000 -
Gradient Glow Settings - Electric Pink - With the Below settings (should be
default)
Preset
Shapes - Star Create as Vector Forground - White Background Pink -
#FFB9DC Draw a Star on your
canvas - Convert to Raster Layer Effects - Eye Candy 4000 - Gradient Glow Settings
- Electric Pink - Default Change
the color of the glow from pink to blue Click on the first color box (circled
in red) Click on the color box and change it to blue #6E8FCB
Do that for the first two and the last two color boxes (circled in red) Create
as many stars as you would like. Size, colors...that's all up to you. Arrange
them so that there is room in the center for your blog text.
Step
2:
Now
to play with your background ~ experiment! If you're like me, you've got tons
and tons of filters to play with. :o) However, I will show you how I came
up with my background.
Hide
your star layers. Foreground Blue - #6E8FCB Background Pink - #FFB9DC
Highlight layer 1 in your layer palette.
Selections - Select All -
Float Selections - Modify - Contract by 5 Flood fill with the Pink
Selections
- Modify - Contract by 5 Flood fill with the blue
Selections
- Modify - Contract by 5 Flood fill with the pink Selectoins - None
Effects
- Simple Filter - Apply the Quick Tile Effects
Texture
Effects - Blinds
Step
3:
Now
to add your text.
Add
a new layer. The Font I chose is TagsXtreme2 at size 36 Stroke - Null / Fill
Blue - #6E8FCB Floating Add Text Selections
- None Effects - Inner Bevel
Add
a new layer. The Font I chose is TagsXtreme2 at size 36 Stroke - Null / Fill
Pink - #FFB9DC Floating Slightly move this layer so it overlaps the blue
text a smidge. Selections
- None Effects - Same Inner Bevel Settings above.
Step
4:
In
your layer pallete, hide your last three layers and merge visible your two text
layers. Apply a drop down shadow to your text. I used a darker blue - #0A34AC
I personalized
mine, so I added another layer. The Font I chose is Arial at size 9 Stroke
- Null / Fill Blue - #6E8FCB Floating/ Kerning at 200 Now - Merge All
Layers Flatten
Save
as .psp (to work on later, add more stuff ~ maybe animate it), .jpg or .gif.
Your
blog design is Finished!
Just
copy the below code into your webpage. Replace the 'Your Image Here' with the
location of the image you created on your web server. Change the scroll bar colours
to compliment the image you created. *see what it
looks like* If you try different sizes of image, don't forget to change the
html code accordingly. Have fun!
