Making the Handle:
20. Have your Background and Foreground set to white.
21. Go to your Preset Shapes and choose Ellipse with
antialias and vector checked. Draw an ellipse atop
your Jar Lid. Resize and position as you'd
like, convert to raster layer. Rename this layer to
Jar Handle.
22. We are going to apply the same KPT5 effect to
our handle. With your Jar Handle layer active, go
to Selections, Select all, Float. Apply the same KPT5,
shapeshifter effect.as illustrated in the screen shot
below. Click the check mark. Selections - none. Reposition
with your mover tool now if neccessary.
Save!
23. With your Jar Handle layer
still active, Go to Selections, Select All, Float.
Add a new layer called Shadow. Do not deselect
yet.
24. Set your Foreground to black. Flood fill your
Shadow layer and Deselect.
25. Go to Effects, Blur, Gaussian Blur with a radius
of 6. Now move your Shadow layer to the top of your
layer pallet.
26. Choose your Deformation Tool and manipulate the
shadow to give the handle some depth. When happy with
your shadow, move it below the Jar Handle layer. Reposition
with your mover tool. Flatten a little more with the
deformation tool if needed so it doesn't overlap the
edge of the lid. Now lower the opacity of the shadow
layer to 40.

27. At this point, you may want to merge-visible
and tube your cookie jar or save as .psp to use and
decorate differently at a later time. So in other
words........Save! =o)
