Our Legislative Building

This is where I live. =o) I grew up in Transcona. Then hubby and I moved to Calgary briefly in 1997. Found our way back home, though. As mentioned, we now live in the heart of downtown. I'm not big on writing. This is a smallish page sharing photos of places from around town. You'll also find links to established Winnipeg sites for further information.

City Hall

I could show you all sorts of photos, but am attempting to keep the load time down. The first photo of Main & Portage...the building just behind the traffic light on the left - I used to work on the10th floor for AT & T. The forks market is one of our favorite places to visit. Gives you a good idea of what you'll find there. Food, crafts, arts, entertainment...more food! lol That's just one of two main buildings.

The Forks (2)

This is a distant shot from the Forks. It's called the Forks because it's where our Red and Assinnaboin rivers meet. Was a main junction where fur traders and merchants would barter back in the day.

River City

I'm not really sure which river this is...lol I can tell you...our apt building is in this photo - Somewhere! lol As you can see...we aren't covered in snow year round like some folks think. We get Hot summers, too. Sometimes, exporsue to the sun for 30 - 60 secs will result in a very nice - Burn! =o)
