I'm a 30 something year old, live'n in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I'm in a long term relationship with my highschool sweetheart, Lucutis. We live smack dab in the middle of downtown Winnipeg. It's fantastic being on the 12th floor of our apt building. The view at night of the big city lights is awesome!

How I got my nick name:

A lot of ppl say to me, “Hey, you have a disease or something? What does your nick mean??” Hahaha…well I’ll clear it up here. It was one of those late nights when you can’t sleep and start watching the late night movies. This particular night, Conan The Barbarian was on, the first movie, and his love’s name was Valaria. Now that sounds like an illness, don’t you think? I later found out that 'falaria' is a portugues noun for 'would speak' as told to me by a Brazillian friend. Hmm..thought that was cool.I first got introduced to the idea of chatting via the computer through BBS’ng. That’s Bulletin Board Systems. The only person you could speak with in real time was the SysOp or oporator of the board. Other ppl you would communicate with through a msg service. Much like you would a forum, nowadays...but one person could be logged on at any given time. So..that’s when I first needed a nick, back in Dec. of 93. I changed it to Falaria as I am Welch and Scottish, have a bit of a temper as I'm a redhead, hence the Flare sound…which Lucutis is the main recipient of…lol.

My Family:
  • Mom works at a local elementary school during the week assisting with the lunch program and on weekends she does coat check for our famous, Fort Gary Hotel. She's always doing something crafty. She likes to make dollies, crochet blankets and is the best Green Thumb I know. Ya need to nurse a plant back to life......give it to my mom.


  • My dad is a retired truck driver. He drove both Canadian and States side. He's a big time Elvis fan, loves old western movies and wrestling. Both mom and dad are still married...it's been over 35 years now.


  • My sister is widowed with now, three young adult children. One nephew she had b4 she met her late husband. My other two nephews his previous marriage. Sis is a nurse's aid and my brother-in-law worked for the Canadian Pacific Railway. Time is enjoyed by listening to classic rock, camping, mortorbiking and are members/alumni of our Manitoba Mortorcycle Club.


  • My brother is seperated and livng in Calgary, Alberta. He's distanced himself from the family over the last few years. He works for a recycling company, enjoys 80's rock and heavy metal tunes, plays bass (could have made it big), and is an avid CB Radio junkie. (I can't remember what his handle is.)

  • I am a big movie fan:
    …especially of horror movies. My faves are Vampire flicks, from the old B&W to the recent films. I have a small collection which includes my fave, The Lost Boys, Near Dark, a few episodes of the Canadain tv show make to move; The Little Vampire and others. If you didn't know it already....Halloween is my fave time of year!!

  • I like all kinds of music:
    I grew up in the 80's so that's a big part of my life. I love dance (techno & rave), rock, some opera, heavy metal, gothic and industrial. My fave 80's group would the boys from Oslo, Norway - A-ha
    (Morton is such a babe!) I love Marilyn Manson!! Have been to one concert - July 28, 1997 Winnipeg Arena. I don’t make it a point of listening to country music ….but Leanne Rymes and Shania Twain, a fellow Canadian I do enjoy.

  • Concerts I've been to:
    include.....lets see if I can remember...*G* Glass Tiger, Meatloaf, Kim Mitchell, Marilyn Manson, The Misfits, The Commitments,
    The Crash Test Dummies and various local bands.

  • Other thinks I like to do:
    Karaoke, more of a spectator but get me on PalTalk and I'll sing for you. :O) PC Gaming alone or in a Lan environment. Diablo series, Roller Coaster Tycoon, ect. Chatting on Chat programs (mIRC, PalTalk). I'm totally addicted to Neopets.com. There, I collect Halloween/Spooky items. Dooding in PSP, watching CSI, Charmed and various Reality TV Shows. I used to be shutter happy in highschool...as I took a photograhpy class for one semester. I enjoy abstract, candid ppl shots and landscapes and wish I had kept it up. You won't see me in any photos....hardly. I'm iether sleeping or drunk. *G* I prefer to be behind the camera. I also like to pen the odd short story or poem.....but don't feel that they are worth sharing. Oh and can't forget, Eating & Sleeping :O)
